Nevis Swing

At first we couldn't decide between bungy jumping or the world's highest swing. We really wanted to do both but it was way too much money. Then we found out that we COULD do both if we did the world's highest swing in Queenstown and then bungy jumping in Auckland (because jumping off of the Auckland Harbor bridge is cheaper). So that's what we ended up doing.

The Nevis Swing was so much fun and I am glad we got up the courage to do it. It actually wasn't nearly as scary as it looks. The drop was only for a short amount of time and then we were just lightly swinging.

Some facts about the swing. It is a big tourist attraction, is the highest and largest in the world, has a 300 meter arc span, and drops you 70 meters. Whewwww! It was definitely worth the money :). I got to go tandem with Brooke and we were both super excited to finally get to do it! Now we're ready for bungy jumping.

Here we go

Bus ride up to the Swing! (The girl in the back right corner is LeeAnn,
our hostel roommate from Germany. She did BOTH the swing and bungy.)

There it is!

I'm not scared...don't worry!

So pretty underneath the swing

Walking across the bridge

Getting ready

Here we go Brooke

It really was SO high

Starting to freak out just a little

Last picture before we drop!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
So much fun!

We did it!
Our Nevis Swing group

We got these free hats for doing the swing. They are so attractive let
me tell you!

Here's some of the photos that the Swing camera took. We didn't want to buy them so Brooke took a picture of each of them with her camera (hence why you can see her in the reflection lol).

Up Next... BUNGY JUMPING off the Auckland Harbor Bridge :)
